About Us
The president of Air1 Insurance, Dave Fitzpatrick, is part of The Fitzpatrick family who have owned and operated Park Insurance since 1965. He himself has been in the industry since 1978, serving clients involved in many forms of insurance.
Dave bought his first aircraft in 1996 and realized that aviation insurance was unique compared to other types of insurance and that reliable information and advice was hard to come by. Dave decided to combine his passion for flight with his insurance expertise and started the Aviation Insurance department of Park Insurance Services.
Since then Dave has established a high profile among both commercial and private aircraft owners. Because of his regular articles, columns, and being guest speaker at many leading aviation industry events, Dave is considered one of Canada’s leading authorities on commercial and private insurance.
In January 2006, Park Aviation was launched. They have been known as one of Canada’s most trusted and highly regarded Commercial and Private Aviation Insurance providers led by one of Canada’s leading aviation insurance experts.
In 2010 Dave decided it was time to rebrand Park Aviation to better suit their mission statement and in December 2010, Air1 Insurance was launched. Air1 Insurance is one of the top Aviation Insurance Brokers in Canada and their team is providing first class service to all of their clients.
In 2011, Air1 Insurance expanded its market to include other forms of insurance, including Marine and Boat, Home and Commercial insurance.

Colleen Fitzpatrick was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Colleen then moved to Canada 17 years ago with her husband David. Colleen has been working in the Insurance Industry for the last 15 years. In addition to the duties of an administrative assistant, Colleen is also our Vice President of Operations. Although she loves working at the office, another passion of hers is exhibiting and breeding Pomeranians. Being a Licensed Broker she is happy to answer any of your questions.
Phyllis Yeung began her career in 1970 in Hong Kong in the education field before moving onto other pursuits in Canada, including volunteer community service. She began her accounting career in 1989 and now brings her experience and expertise to the insurance industry. Phyllis is responsible for the financial side of Air1 Insurance.
Belinda Jacobs began her career in 2003 in the legal sector before taking some time off to focus on family needs.
In 2009 Belinda joined our family at Air1 Insurance and brings her administrative experience to the insurance industry and looks forward to providing assistance for your insurance needs.
Lori Winterburn is the daughter of Dave & Colleen Fitzpatrick and she continues the family tradition of being involved with the insurance industry.
Being a Licensed Broker, Lori develops good relationships with our clients, has years of experience with insurance and looks forward to assisting you with your insurance needs.
Caleb Winterburn started working in the construction industry in 2006 laying floors, installing gutters, landscaping and roofing.
When Caleb's dad was 14 he got his private pilot’s license so he was able to fly in Beavers and Otters and many other aircraft. His father's example has inspired Caleb to dive right into aviation as well.
In addition to his duties at Air1 Insurance, Caleb is also in process of acquiring a Private Pilot license. Being a pilot and a Licensed Broker, he knows what you want and need for your insurance. He looks forward to assisting you.
Angela Wuensche began her career in Real Estate and received her Real Estate Licence in 2007 selling many properties in Kitimat. Once she moved back to the Vancouver area, she decided insurance would be a great fit for her. Soon after working to get her insurance Licence she joined the family at Air1 Insurance. She is ready and willing to help you with your insurance needs.
Daniel Pendergast has years of experience from past jobs in retail, janitorial and construction and joined our family at Air1 Insurance in 2011. Since he started he has been involved in the marketing aspects of the company, focusing on building business relationships with our clients, administrating our website and our newsletter "AeroReader". He is ready to assist you with your insurance needs.
